Frequently asked questions.

How should I contact a therapist

Our contact form is the best method. It is being monitored by all of us and provides us with the appropriate context to be able to effectively reply.

How long should I expect before a response?

We aim for within 1 business day, but please anticipate at least 2 business days.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, though we would advise checking with each provider who they are covered through! Some of us do, and we all provide superbills as an out of network provider (which some plans support). We have documentation on navigating superbills which we would be happy to share. Otherwise, private pay is an option with sliding scale being provided on a need basis (ranging between our therapists).

What services do you offer?

Individual, Couples, Groups, Psycho-Educational Workshops . We offer sessions online and in-person.

What method of therapy is this?

Though we were all trained in the same program at Seattle University’s Master of Arts in Psychology program, each therapist here has their own unique methodology.

As a collective we believe that being human involves a dynamic process of change. Our goal is to help individuals build the capacity to hold the fluidity of their experiences with self-compassion, understanding, and resilience. We all draw from various therapeutic approaches, including existential phenomenological psychology, family system dynamics, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, and relational theories.

What is Existential-Phenomenology?

Existential-Phenomenology is an experiential approach to therapy that explores your unique qualities of being human.

  • Existentialism focuses on fundamental questions we all face: meaning, choice, freedom, responsibility, and how we navigate life's challenges. It acknowledges that you have the power to shape your life and find meaning, even amidst uncertainty.

  • Phenomenology emphasizes understanding your world exactly as you experience it. It's about deeply listening to your perceptions, emotions, and unique perspective, rather than fitting them into pre-set categories.

Together, this approach helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and the choices available to you. It's about exploring your lived reality with curiosity and compassion, empowering you to live more authentically and purposefully.
