“Intimacy requires courage because risk is inescapable. We cannot know at the outset how the relationship will affect us. Like a chemical mixture, if one of us is changed, both of us will be. Will we grow in self-actualization, or will it destroy us? The one thing we can be certain of is that if we let ourselves fully into the relationship for good or evil, we will not come out unaffected.”

— Rollo May, The Courage to Create

About Me

Me in a nutshell: I'm excited and hopeful at the prospect of working with anyone that is curious about the possibilities of what therapy can do and be. I do not have any rigidly defined senses of what therapy needs to look like or what kind of work should happen inside a therapeutic space, but I do have a mission to foster that space as a place of trust, compassion, curiosity, and liberation. My hope is to attract and work with clients who feel they are interested in and ready for beginning a new kind of relationship - one that may better enable them to catch sight of themselves and therefore understand themselves in new and meaningful ways.

My approach to therapy is greatly informed by relational theories and thus uses intervention styles that are predominantly grounded in the connection that is created between therapist and client. This orientation often seeks to model relational structures that the client may not have had the opportunity to experience in other areas/times in their life.

I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to pursue this line of work, and I am so tremendously excited to begin seeing new clients. I take my role as therapist very seriously because, simply put - I believe in this work, deep down in my heart. I would be honored to be a part of your journey, so please feel free to reach out!
